Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette - Swatches, Review & FOTD

I have been lusting after Sugarpill since I first heard they were a thing way back when. When I found this guy mildly swatched on Carousell for $30 I could not resist and snagged it up immediately. I was broke but I do not regret buying it at all.

The one thing I love about Sugarpill is how fricking adorable the packaging is. Not as adorable as Shrinkle(Sugarpill's founder), of course ;D

The palette is made of cardboard but is sturdy enough and the magnet closure makes it feel very sleek overall.

On the left the shadows are swatched over a Nyx's eyeshadow base in white and on the left they are over bare skin. All of them apply really smoothly and are really pigmented. Poison Plum and Flamepoint do not show as well as the other two without a base but still are really easy to work with.

I was really impressed with Love+ because red shadows usually aren't this amazing and I'm really glad I have it in my stash now. Poison plum is really beautiful and I see myself using it the most out of the rest.

My look started out fairly simple, I used all the shadows in a cut-crease wing kinda thing. Sadly, Love+ and Poison Plum got lost behind my lashes. I actually really like this look and might recreate it someday.

I then decided to smoke it out. I blended out with black and some Poison Plum at the very edges. I also added a gold pigment to my lips.

Fiery Masquerade - FOTD

/u/AuntyM was hosting a masquerade inspired contest on /r/RandomActsof Makeup and I had some time so I gave it a go! I ended up forgetting to take a picture with my username and date so never actually entered the contest. I wasn't 100% happy with the outcome, but it was still cool enough to share!

Nyx Mosaic Powder in 'Latte' - Review

So I got this guy during my first Nyx haul and he's since become a staple in my everyday routine. I've been using it for a couple of months now and would love to share my thoughts.

I use this to subtly contour and add a teensy bit of warmth to my face. The colour is pretty much a warm brown with really slight shimmer, a good match for my NC30ish skin. It's definitely not the most pigmented, but it works well enough in my opinion. It's not powdery or chalky and produces a nice, even colour.

The lasting power is pretty good. I don't notice it fading throughout the day on my oily skin. Overall I have a pretty good impression of the line of mosaic powders through this guy. If I weren't so afraid of blush I'd probably own more.

Here it is in action. It defines my face while still looking very natural which is what I love about it. You can get these from the Nyx website, or if you live in Singapore I recommend luvglitz for great deals and service.

Pastel Rainbow - FOTD

I was bored one day after school and saw a rainbow-themed contest on /r/randomactsofmakeup, and that led to this. I have done tonnes of rainbow makeup in the past, but none of them were quite like this. I had so much fun and basically winged it as I went along.

I initially paired this look with Portland Black Lipstick Co's Difficult Island but my sample turned out to be wayy to patchy for my liking.
